One new year, 2 Chainz and three new albums. The rapper’s announced he has three projects coming in 2025.

He said on Instagram that two of the projects are 90% complete, noting his music will be just as successful as his businesses.

“Now it’s 2025, I’m about to put the music with the madness,” he said, adding a message to his critics. “We’re going to ball the humble stuff up and throw it out the window because some of y’all done bumped your heads thinking you can mess with this campaign.”

2 Chainz’s last solo album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself, dropped in 2022, though he has since released a joint album with Lil Wayne: 2023’s Welcome 2 Collegrove.

The collaborative album was his last on Def Jam Records; he is officially an independent artist.

“That’s right, I’m not re-signing with Def Jam,” he said when announcing the news in October. “So think of it like KD or like LeBron — the biggest free agent in the game.”
