Billboard will pay tribute to the top players in R&B and hip-hop at a special event next month in Los Angeles headlined by City Girls.
Billboard Live: R&B/Hip-Hop will take place on Thursday, November 17, at Academy LA. At the event, the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players list will be announced honoring the top music executives. The Remy Martin x Vibe Impact and Excellence Award will also be presented to a musician who has made tremendous efforts in their community, as well as paving the way for the next generation of artists.
“There’s no denying the cultural influence, mainstream popularity and burgeoning global impact of R&B/Hip-Hop,” Gail Mitchell, Billboard’s executive director of R&B/Hip-Hop, said in a statement.“That’s why it’s important each year to honor the executives, artists and innovators propelling the genres’ evolution as we also mark the return of our live celebration.”
In addition to City Girls, Flo Milli will perform. Tickets are now on sale on the Billboard Live website.
On Saturday, City Girls are performing at the Florida A&M University homecoming in Tallahassee, Florida. Yung Miami and JT are giving away 25 pairs of floor seats and special gifts to winners of their Instagram contest.
Yung Miami has also been busy on her own, appearing in Sean Combs‘ new “Diddy Freestyle” video that debuted this week.
